Our Vision
We address sexual abuse.
The Oregon Association for the Treatment & Prevention of Sexual Abuse (OATSA) is the state chapter of ATSA, the international organization. ATSA and OATSA were founded to foster research, facilitate information exchange, further professional education and provide for the advancement of professional standards and practices in the field of sex offense evaluation and treatment.
We’re focused specifically on the prevention of sexual abuse through the effective management of people who commit sex offenses..
This includes:
Elimination of sexual victimization.
The protection of our communities through responsible and ethical treatment of people who commit sex offenses.
The prevention of sexual assault through effective management of people who commit sex offenses.
The maintenance of high standards of professionalism and integrity within its membership.
OATSA encourages sound research, effective practice, informed policy, and comprehensive prevention strategies, all designed to create safer communities.
