Please join us for a day to learn about Neurodiversity-Affirming Assessment, Treatment, and Supervision of Autistic Adults Who Have Offended Sexually

With adult autism diagnoses on the rise, there is increasing recognition of the need for evaluators, treatment providers, and parole and probation officers to gain competency with this population.  In this workshop, participants will develop an understanding of the neurobiological differences of the autistic brain, the social model of disability, and what it means to be neurodiversity-affirming.  We will discuss reasons why autistic persons sexually offend, how these may differ from their non-autistic peers, and how this impacts our understanding of risk, treatment needs, and effective supervision.  Participants are encouraged to bring questions and case examples for discussion.
